I’ve always loved macro photography, and Canberra is full of lizards, so I’ve ended up taking heaps of photos of them over the years. There are always plenty hanging around the Botanic Gardens, and they never seem too concerned with having their photo taken. Lately I’ve been playing around with AI to bring some of these macro shots to life. The AI actually seems to understand lizards pretty well and can animate them really naturally, unlike my plasticine model monsters. It’s been really fun seeing these still images suddenly come alive with a bit of careful prompting and experimentation.
